Riot’s Valorant Announced – Will it be the Next CS: GO?

Valorant is a new FPS shooter game made by the Riot Games team. This game has been in development for quite a while, and from the looks of it, they want to make a new esports title that can go head to head with games like CS: GO and Overwatch.  If you don’t know about the Riot Games team, they are the same people that made League of Legends and Team Fight Tactics. So you know they can make some amazing games.

So what exactly is this Valorant game?

Valorant will be a free-to-play game where two teams of five players against each other. Similar to CS: GO. In each match, one team will be on the defensive, while the other team will be on the offensive.

The game seems to have borrowed inspiration from CS: GO and Overwatch games. The gameplay shown below shows how exactly the game will work.

As you can see from the gameplay video above, you have drones as well as high tech skills that are sure to make the game very interesting. The game is smooth and does not require a high-end PC. Instead, what you need are skills and creativity to take advantage of the diverse gameplay. There are many elements and abilities that we can see from the video that need some time to understand. Since the characters are unique and abilities are even more so.
